The VCSEDN brings together VCS organisation and seeks to input into the socio-economic programmes and policy that effect the work and lives of those within Leicester through mechanisms such as: Leicester Economic Action Partnership, City Strategy and extensive partnership working including Highcross Leicester.

The current priorities for the network are:

• The Work Highcross Leicester programme,
• Leicester City Strategy,
• Skills, training and employment opportunities,
• Capacity building for the Voluntary and Community Sector,
• Group support and training needs,
• Local, sub-regional and regional policy, strategy and programmes, and
• Promotion of the VCS as partners in socio-economic regeneration,
• Leicester Economic Action Partnership.

The next dates for the VCSEDN are:

• Monday 10th March 2 – 4pm (VAL 9 Newarke Street Leicester)
• Thursday 17th April 12 – 4pm (VAL 9 Newarke Street Leicester)
