Consultation Strategy - "Towards a strategy to support volunteering in health and social care"

The Department of Health launched on the 3rd June the above strategy for consultation. The aim is to promote the role of volunteering in the context of health and social care reform, and inform improvements to support volunteering across the healthand social care system.

The consultation workshop is being held on Tuesday 29th July 2008 at NSPCC Training Centre from 10am - 1pm.

Leicester Volunteering Convention - 9th July 2008

Voluntary Action Leicester is to host the Leicester Volunteering
Convention on Wednesday 9th July from 3.30pm – 8pm. The event will include
a range of workshops and a talk by specialist speaker Simon Richards on “The
National Profile of Volunteering”.

Strategic Commissioning Framework for Leicester's Local Area Agreement
