Interest is growing in volunteering at Special Olympics Leicester 2009 -
with a year to go to the Special Olympics National Summer Games over 175
people have registered their interest in being a volunteer at this major
event for our City , and our Special Olympics web pages have been viewed
over 700 times.

VCS Draft Contract Consultation Meeting - Thursday 30th October, 5.30

A consultation meeting about the draft VCS contract with Leicester City Council will take place on Thursday 30th October, 5.30pm at Voluntary Action Leicester.  A representative from the council will be present to answer any questions or queries you might have.

Advice and advocacy are offered regarding a wide range of social welfare issues, help with visa passports etc and are in liaison with the High Commission in Birmingham. There is a drop-in facility for members of the community who wish to pop by for discussion and emotional support. Open every day of the week from 11am - 4pm.
