Adult's Services

This service area includes all of Adult Health, Mental Health, Social Care services, Adult Learning Disability, Physical and Sensory Disability and Carers support.

The City Council and Primary Care Trust provide these public services with a range of smaller public agencies and partners in the private and voluntary sectors. Improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities in Leicester is the overall purpose of the Health and Wellbeing Partnership Board.

VAL provides a range of services to the voluntary and community sector in relation to adult services in Leicester. Our purpose is to enable local groups and individuals to:

  • Influence service design and delivery of adult’s services.
  • Deliver high quality services to adults in Leicester.

Adult Services at VAL acts as a bridge between the VCS the wider community, and public sector bodies, by enabling partnership working, and by facilitating or undertaking research and consultation exercises.
